In addition to creating art, Spiziri has worked as a decorative painter for Twin Diamond Studios and as a set painter for the TV show Homicide: Life on the Street. Noelle Imparato’s work comes from a place of presence and explores the liminal space between art and activism, collapse and renewal, the personal and the collective.
Born in France, Imparato studied architecture and film. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she headed a graphic design studio prior to working in Hollywood as a film editor. She then earned a Ph.D. in Mythology and Depth Psychology while discovering process art painting, which emphasizes the process of creation over the final product. She spent 15 years painting in this approach, another five years writing a book about it, and 20 years facilitating her “Painting for Life” workshop. Imparato has lectured about her work in Los Angeles, Santa Fe, Paris, and at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Her work has been exhibited and collected in the United States and abroad.
